Ghee: clarified butter. A standard of the vedic kitchen used often for oblations in the fire.
Ghostyânandi: a self-sacrificing, preaching devotee living among devotees.

Ghee: Clarified butter.
Govinda: Another name for Krishna, who is also referred to as Gopala.
Granthi: Blockages of energy within the body. Literally, a "knot". In order to experience self-realization, the knots must be released.

Ghee should be included in the daily diet, but one should exclude dalda (vanaspati ghee) purposefully. Oil or ghee thickened artificially should be avoided. The chemical process involved in such an action makes it poisonous.

Avoid milk, ghee, cheese, yoghurt (dahee), bananas, and all heavy, starchy, fatty foods which increase mucus and thereby depress the gastric fire.

Barley, wheat, ghee, milk, almonds promote longevity and increase power and strength. Barley is a fine article of diet for a Yogi and Sadhaka. It is cooling too.

In order to meet the expenses of addiction, they would start theft in their own houses, they will start selling their furniture and belongings, they will even sell the tins of ghee and oil and will fall a person to prey to so many bad habits.

They encountered Agni, the fire-god, who was ill from consuming ghee as one king had performed many 'yagnas' (ritual invocations with fire), thus feeding ghee to Agni.

Some aspirants, when they cannot get milk or ghee, stop their Yogic practices. If you cannot get milk or ghee, you will have to take a little more quantity of bread and Dal. Dal is more nutritious than milk. It is very, very substantial.

Some ghee and raw sugar should be added to the herbs. When the Homa is performed, the chemicals in the samigri are burnt and get converted into gaseous form which mix in the atmosphere, ...

Put one tablespoon of ghee into wok, once hot, pour in ginger and garlic. After a few seconds add the asparagus. After 30 seconds add all the other items and stir frequently for 1-2 minutes, cover and regularly stir for approximately 5 minutes.

Heat saucepan on medium heat, add ghee, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns and bay leaves. Stir for a moment, add blended items to spices, then turmeric and salt, stir until lightly browned.

They prefer that you use one of those wick lamps with ghee or castor oil, because in the use of these oils, there's no smoke to get in your eyes. Smoke in the eyes would be annoying. Our master, Swami Sivananda, did not use lamps.
