Gunam

Yoga Guna rahita akashaGunas

Gunam: Inner beauty.
Gunas: The three (raja, tamas, sattva) basic qualities of nature that determine the inherent characteristics of all created things.

nirgunam gunabhoktr ca the enjoyer of the gunas, though not limited by them. [Gita 13.15]
nirguna sat impersonal being.
nirguno guni the Qualitied who is without qualities, impersonal personal. [cf. Svet. 6.2,11,16] ...

The Gunamala, the 'Garland of Praises (for Lord Krishna)' written by Sankaradeva is a little handbook capturing in racy, rhyming and sonorous verses, the essence of the Bhagavata Purana.

This scientific truth is illustrated in the figure Kali, the Divine Mother moving as the Kinetic Shakti on the breast of Sadasiva who is the static background of pure Chit which is actionless, the Gunamayi Mother being all activity.
