In the BYB prospectus it is mentioned that a student who comes to study yoga will, during their residential stay, imbibe the spirit of seva (selfless service) samarpan (dedication) and karuna (compassion) for humankind.

We say Bhagavan is Karuna-Sagara, Kripa-Murti and so on. He is the ocean of compassion. He is more tender than a mother. But when necessity arises, He is hard like a diamond. The saints are like that.

Devotion to Lord Krishna, living an honest life, practicing a life style in the mode of goodness (sattva-guna) especially in the matter of food habits and personal conduct; treating all living beings, with the feeling of Karuna in heart, ...

He must develop Vairagya, patience, Sraddha (faith), Bhakti (devotion), Karuna (mercy), etc. He must observe perfect celibacy. A householder should be very moderate in sexual matters during the practice.
