Gautama Maharishi (Hindi: à¤-ौतम महरà¥à¤-ि, Malay: Kutama Maharisi, Tamil: Kautaman, Thai: โà¸"à¸-มะ) is one of the Saptarishis (Seven Great Sages Rishi of the current Manvantara (seventh).

 


Maharishi: Maha means great, rishi means 'seer', A Great sage. A Great soul.
Maharishi Amrit Kalash (MAK): Proprietary name for a traditional herbal formula of MAV for health and longevity.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi says the following about Prana and Being in his book, The Science of Being and the Art of Living, He says, "Being is the absolute existence of unmanifested nature.

Maharishi Patanjali describes Yoga as "Atha yogah a anushaasanam'', Yoga is nothing but a form of control over the subtle faculties, experiences and expressions of mind. Anu means the subtle aspect of personality, shaasan means to have control over.

Compiled by Maharishi Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras, the Eight Limbs of Yoga are a progressive series of steps or disciplines which purify the body and mind, ultimately leading the Yogi (one who practices Yoga) to enlightenment.

There was the Maharishi saying that he had copyrighted the mantras. Can you imagine copyrighting something that was discovered by the great sages thousands of years ago. It's like copyrighting the Ten Commandments.

In the words of Maharishi Raman: "The ideas of purpose and responsibility are purely social in nature and are created by mind to exhort Ego. God is above all such ideas.

In the early 70's, he spent several years studying in residence under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation Program®. For the next ten years, Ajayan taught the TM Program®.

The basic principles to follow in yoga are those propounded in the classical yoga principles of Maharishi Patanjali (500 BC).

The eight-limbs of yoga, as codified by maharishi Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras; consists of: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi.
