MUKTI or ultimate spiritual freedom, does not mean deliverance from the manifested world, but a close and permanent identity with the Supreme Consciousness, which is the true nature of one's own self.
Jivamukti-style Yoga: This type of yoga also has Ashtanga roots. It was developed by David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1986. Chanting and breathing exercises are also incorporated in Jivamukti classes.

Kanda means a bulbous root, a knot. The Kundalini sleeps above kanda (the place near the navel where the nadis unite and separate). It gives Mukti (emancipation) to the yogins and bondage to the fools. He who knows her knows yoga.

Karmayoga is based on the ideal that by equanimity (samattva) in relation to the opposites (dvandvas), the practitioner of karmayoga can be freed from the shackles of his/her deeds (karma-bandha), and thereby attain liberation (mukti).
