Nishtha - Fixity; steadiness.
Nivritti Marga - Path of renunciation.
Niyama - Religious rules; second step in Yoga.

- BRAHMANISHTHA - one established in the Supreme, a realized Yogi
- BRAHMARANDRA - the gate to Brahma, another name for the sahasrar chakra
- BRAHMARISHI - 1. a sage who has realized the Supreme (brahman); 2.

a Brahmanishtha), it can be known, because the Atman is subtler than the subtlest and does not come under any of the logical categories.

- anârtha nivritti: sins gradually disappear: the purification of the heart;
- nishtha; determination; durable surrender.
- ruci, a higher taste;
- as'akti: the deeper relation with K r i s h n a; the individual character of a r a s a.

The Guru must not only be a Srotriya but a Brahma-Nishtha also. Mere study of books cannot make one a Guru. One who has studied Vedas and who has direct knowledge of Atman through Anubhava can only be considered a Guru.

Reflect gradually and choose a method; choose a method and stick to it and persevere in it continuously. This Nishtha is necessary.
