Prajapati: A name for the father of creation and protector of life.
Prana: Prana is the energy that animates everything and is a fundamental concept of Hatha Yoga. Prana is also breath, the life force sustaining the body.

prajapati the father of creatures. prajapatayah (Prajapatis) [plural], original progenitors.
prajna the all-wise Intelligence.

These two Ashwinikumaras had approached Prajapati seeking Brahma-vidya. Prajapati replied, "You are not fit, if I teach you Brahma-vidya, your head will burst.

The primal root to Kama is "Ka" and the Taittiriya Samhita from the Krishna Yajur Veda, states that Ka is Prajapati, the lord of creation. Within Sanskrit, 'ka' can be a reference to the soul, sun, Vishnu and much more.

Prajapati and Vishwakarma all either protect her, provide for her or are her consorts. Agni is said to pervade her. Despite this association with male deities, the hymn makes it clear that Prithvi is a great deity in her own right.

"Sahayajnah prajah srishtva purovacha prajapatih, Anena Prasavishyadhvam esha vo'stvishtakamadhuk," says the Lord in the Bhagavadgita. We are born 'together with' an obligation.
