Rajasic Foods: Foods that cause excessive energy and agitation, leading to discomfort. They create a distracting, restless state of mind.
To reduce rajas avoid rajasic foods, over exercising, over work, loud music, excessive thinking and consuming excessive material goods. Rajasic foods include fried foods, spicy foods, and stimulants.
Rajasic foods excite the passions and make the mind restless, unsteady and uncontrollable. In this category are fish, eggs, meat, salt, and spices. The most beneficial foods are of the sattvic variety, which render the mind calm and pure.
Stimulant foods, also called mutative foods, mutable foods or rajasic foods, are foods which often provoke mental restlessness. They are not completely beneficial, nor are they harmful, to body or mind.
