Svara Sadhana
Svara Sadhana, practice of breath, is the revealer of Satya, Brahman and bestower of the Supreme Knowledge and Bliss. Perform calm acts during the flow of Ida and harsh acts during the flow of Pingala.

In the famous Rudra-Adhyaya or the Satarudriya of the Yajur-Veda, we have a majestic, universalised description of Lord Siva, a chant which we are accustomed to everyday in the temple.

Brahma Granthi, Vishnu Granthi and Rudra Granthi. It destroys phlegm which is the bolt or obstacle to the door at the mouth of Brahma Nadi (Sushumna). It enables one to know the Kundalini.

Jalandhara Bandha: Vishuddi (Throat) Chakra and Rudra Granthi
This is the throat energy valve preventing the energy from being lost through the throat chakra and redirecting it inward and up.

Then the Kundalini pierces the Rudragranthi. After that, it pierces all the six lotuses or the plexus. Then the Kundalini Sakti is happy with Siva in Sahasradala Kamala, the thousand-petalled lotus.

Some keep a MALA or garland of beads of Tulsi, Rudraksha, Crystal, Sandalwood etc to keep the count. This is a good practice and has definite benefits to the body and mind.

Parichaya the absorption deepens and in nishpatti the knot of Rudra is pierced and the Kundalini may ascend to the center at the crown of the head.

The presiding deity is Rudra, who is vermilion color with ashes smeared over the body. He has three eyes, and his hands symbolize the boon of fearlessness that he grants to his devotee.
