Sabda (s'abdha): sound (known as K r i s h n a).
- A process of sacrificing sound in the controlled mind.
- Kind of p r a m â n a, or a certain truth of evidence.

Sabda(sound)is of two kinds: lettered (varnatmaka) and unlettered (dhvanyatmaka,auditory).

Sabdartha pratyayanam itaretaradhyasat samkaras tat pravibhaga samyamat sarva bhuta ruta jnanam. ...

sabdabrahmativartate [passes beyond the range of the sabdabrahman]. [Gita 6.44]
sab-janta [Beng.] all-knowing.
sa buddhiman manusyesu he is the man of true reason and discernment among men. [Gita 4.18] ...

Sruti/ Sabda Pramana: All shruti and shabda's denoting Brahman always list either attributes inherent to Brahman or not inherent to Brahman.

BHAYANAKA-SABDA: A fear inducing sound.
BHOGI: Enjoyer.
BHUMA: The Unconditioned, the Great Infinite, Brahman.
BHUTA-SIDDHI: A psychic power by which mastery is gained over the elements.

She is also called Sarasvati, as She is the form of Sabda Brahman. She is the source of all Knowledge and Bliss. She is pure consciousness itself. She is Brahman. She is Prana Sakti, the Supreme Force, the Mother of Prana, Agni, Bindu, and Nada.
