Sakshi Bhava, The method of 'Witnessing' - key to meditation

saksi (Sakshi) witness.
sakta (Shakta) [a worshipper of sakti].
sakti (Shakti) Energy, Force, Strength, Will, Power; the self-existent, self-cognitive, self-effective Power of the Lord which expresses itself in the workings of prakrti.

SAKSHI: Witness.
SAKTI: Power; the feminine aspect of Divinity.
SAKTI-SANCHAR: Transference of power by a developed Yogi.
SAMA: Serenity; control of mind.

Practicing meditation, pranayama, pratyahara and sakshin allows us to be calm, centered and in control of our normal unconscious reactions to holiday stressors.

Jiva Sakshi gets merged in Ishvara Sakshi; Ishvara Sakshi in Ardhamatra of Omkara. Thus you can go back to the original source, Brahman, who is the Yoni for all minds and Pancha Bhutas. Brahman alone remains.

The yogi can also use the sakshi bhava of jnana yoga, feeling that he is the silent witness of actions, being totally detached from the play of maya and the functions of his instruments, the karma indriyas (sense organs of action).

A yogi lights a dhuni with this idea in mind, that the dhuni is sakshi to each and every thought, word and deed of his. If these are not sattwic they will not be able to withstand the test of Agni.
