Hard indeed is the path of Samsara (earthly life). Even the keenest human minds are sometimes deceived by the charm of Maya (illusion). Ignorance is the true cause of all our misery and suffering, and ignorance exists because of non-discrimination.
It is the accumulation of Karma that binds us to Samsara, the cycle of death and rebirth. To escape the endless cycle of Samsara requires one to attain enlightenment through the realization of Atman/Brahman.
