The concept of Saṃsara as a cycle of rebirth and suffering within the six realms is taught in Buddhism.

Samsara -- the cycle of repeated birth and death in the material world.
Sanatana -- eternal.
Sanatana-dharma -- the eternal religion of the living being, devotional service to God.
The ultimate goal is to have no karma, it is when all your karma is worked out that you stop samsara the endless cycle of birth and death and move onto the astral or causal plane (closer to God).
The Sanskrit word Hamsa means goose or swan, and represents the idea of flight out of the cycle of life (samsara).
Hard indeed is the path of Samsara (earthly life). Even the keenest human minds are sometimes deceived by the charm of Maya (illusion). Ignorance is the true cause of all our misery and suffering, and ignorance exists because of non-discrimination.
It is the accumulation of Karma that binds us to Samsara, the cycle of death and rebirth. To escape the endless cycle of Samsara requires one to attain enlightenment through the realization of Atman/Brahman.

The solution of the problem is the teaching of Yoga. The whole science 'Yoga' has this one end in view, to enable man to cross the ocean of Samsara, to increase power, to develop knowledge and to attain immortality and eternal bliss.

is freed from samsara.
As the belief states, in order to obtain release from incarnation you must find release from maya. Mahamaya is the goddess of maya, so she is the only one that can release us from the illusions of samsara (transmigratory existence).
For him, as in Mahayana mysticism, nirvana is samsara and vice versa. Since there is no separation between the two, there is no room for even the subtlest error, and so sin and sorrow vanish forever.
