Yoga Sarvanga-asanaSasangasana

Sarvangasana
Next to the headstand, this posture is considered one of the best asanas. It is often seen being practiced in many gymnasiums, beauty salons, and health clubs.

Sarvangasana is a counter pose for backbends such as Chakrasana. Viparita Karani - the "legs up the wall" pose - is a common modification. Matsyasana("Fish Pose") is a counter pose.

In Sarvangasana, as in Tadasana, your torso and legs should be perpendicular to the floor.   There is a tendency to have the feet somewhat over the head, especially if the chest is not expanding fully into the chin.
