Tantra is the oldest and most scientific system of self - awakening, which originated even before the Vedas.

Tantra Yoga
The word tantra literally means "expansion." A tantra yogi concentrates on expanding all levels of his or her consciousness to unveil and realize the Supreme Reality.

For instance, the text Sadhanamala Tantra presents a long row of such goddesses. Tara emanated from the gigantic sphere of consciousness of the great Dhyani Buddha Amogasiddhi, the most worshipped deity of the Tibetan Buddhism.

The Tantra school believes in the notion that if the enormous energy, trapped into sexuality, is released from the lower end of the spine, can flow up the spinal column to bring divine illumination to the brain.

Dhyana will culminate in Samadhi, Self-realisation. He who practises Hatha Yogic Kriyas is not a Purna Yogi. He who has entered into Asamprajnata Samadhi only is a Purna Yogi. He is a Svatantra Yogi (absolutely independent).
