Ustrasana is a back bend that tends to awaken the lower back more than the upper back, similar to Urdhva Mukha Svanasana and Salabhasana.

Pronunciation: (oosh-TRAHS-ahna)
Translation: Ustra means Camel. Asana means yoga pose or posture.

Ustrasana:
Kneeling at the front of the mat, separate the knees and feet hip width distance (6-8 inches) apart. The feet are pointed with toes pointing straight back and shins parallel to each other.

Ustrasana: Known as the Camel posture. it stretches the abdominal organs to the maximum firming and slimming the abdomen and waistline, opens the rib cage to give more space to the lungs, produces maximum compression of the neck and spine.

Stand on your knees and curl the toes under, which will raise the heels. Support your hands on your lower back and gently press the pelvis forward. If you can reach your heels, bend way back and enjoy.
