The Vedas
The Vedas are considered the most sacred and treasured texts of India. The Vedas are a collection of hymns that were received by the ancient rishis (sages) as shruti, divine revelation.

Vedas : Among the most ancient, revered, and sacred of the world's scriptures, the four Vedas are regarded as divinely revealed, eternal wisdom. They are the Rig Veda, Atharva Veda, Sama Veda, and Yajur Veda.

The Vedas are considered Apaurusheya i.e. without author or creator. They have been seen by seers in the form of light, heat, vibrations, pressure and various other scientific forms of energy.

The Vedas, which are the oldest written tradition in India, (2,000 - 600 B.C.) were written largely by the Indo-European invaders of India, known as the Aryans.

Right from the Vedas onwards, throughout the history of India, there was not even one person who could vanquish the Muslim invaders, or encounter the British forces. How did they become so strong? How did India become so poor and so weak?

(C) Origin of Ayurvedas:-
As described earlier Ayurveda is a division of Atharvaveda. All four vedas are said to have been originated form Lord Brahama, who is regarded as the creator of the Globe.

He who knows Prana knows Vedas is the important declaration of the Srutis. You will find in Vedanta Sutras: For the same reason, breath is Brahman. Prana is the sum total of all energy that is manifest in the universe.

Obviously some of these are the lower interpretations (kama-apara) of the Vedas; with people wanting cows, prosperity, among other things. Certainly the Atharva Veda has rituals for the desire of a husband, wife, or other desire.

The earliest writings on dharma (from the Vedas) implied that only sages could experience it, and needed to pass it on to the laymen through mantras and other acts.

Their research and translations included essays on the Vedas, yoga, and the poetry of Shankara. Many of the Indian epics and Vedas were translated into English. Bhagvat Gita was one of such translations.

VEDAS: The most ancient authentic scripture of the Hindus, a revealed scripture and therefore free from imperfections.
VEERYA: Seminal energy.
VETTA: Knower.
VICHARA: Enquiry into the nature of the Self, Truth, Absolute, Brahman.
VIGRAHA: Attack.
